Childhood Lost "Play all day" - that was the life of Kakoli when she was a mere child. Kakoli lived in the village Shyamapur with her parents. It was a remote village. Except the ration dealer, none of the village had a pucca house. The villagers were decreased into poverty. Like all other children of the village, Kakoli's childhood was very happy. She used to play all day long. No work only play - that was her life. She was a sweet-looking child. Everyone of her village, even the ration dealer, liked her for her sweet appearance and too sweet voice. Whenever she saw an elder, she would run towards them and start talking. How much busy they might be, villagers preferred to talk to her. Days passed. Kakoli was admitted to a distant school. Then she felt their poverty.
